Master Mohammad Ali Taghdisi Kashani
Master Mohammad Ali Taghdisi Kashani was born in 1947 in Kashan , one of the old centers of producing hand made carpets . Due to his extreme interest in drawing and producing carpet designs and the encouragement of his parents, he learn this art from master Mirza Nasrullah Khan and master Mahmood Farshbaf , the most famous designers of Kashan carpet industry and began to design and prepare carpet designs. He learnt necessary skills with the help of master Mohammad Seifi in 1962.
From the very beginning, he produced some general designs with various color blending. His miscellaneous designs were outstandingly welcomed by hand-made carpet producers, so that , quoted by carpet industry owners and manufacturers , his carpet designs could give a new life to the carpet industry and its role in word `s market - which had faced to a severe stand still – and caused a great change in carpet producing , that is the most ancient art of Iranian people in Kashan city.
Following improvement of carpet market and export and master Taghdisi `s interest in employing in young people , he established several carpet frame in carpet workshops of Kashan.
Master Mohammad Ali Taghdisi Kashani dedicated all of his life and property to this beautiful art. Preparing precious design with miscellaneous colors of background and teaching drawing carpet design and harmony of colors and omitting strong colors which cause the sight of eyes to get dimmed, he did a great service to the carpet industry and took an effective step toward continuance of this art and developing it in the world `s market.
At present, he owns several workshops of weaving silk and soft wool – silk carpets in Kashan and some of its villages.
